At the beginning of July, three new books in the series “Retrats de Vi” (Portraits of Wine) by the journalist Ruth Troyano, were presented at the El Tros Winery in Vall Llach in Barcelona. The collection provides insight into the personal and professional experience of some of the oenologists trained at the Rovira i Virgili University (URV). Miquel Palau, an oenologist at the Abadal winery is one of the protagonists in the new series.
The event was led by Carles Xuriguera, a humorist, actor and co-director of the TV programme Glops, which features the world of wine. The protagonists of the other two books, Roser Amorós and Sergi Colet were also present, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Oenology at the URV, Joan Miquel Canals.
