The Catalan Wine Association (AVC) has recognized Valentí Roqueta’s outstanding trajectory —having led the organization for a decade— with its highest distinction: the gold insignia. The tribute took place during the AVC’s annual assembly, held this June at the Vallformosa winery (DO Penedès).
During the ceremony, current AVC president Eugeni Llos highlighted Roqueta’s contribution to the Catalan wine sector throughout his ten-year term, praising his ability to “communicate and inspire through the culture of wine” and his role as “an ambassador of the Catalunya brand values and of deep commitment to the land.”
This insignia, reserved for exceptional figures who have held the AVC presidency, places Roqueta alongside historic names in the sector such as his father, Ramon Roqueta, and Miquel A. Torres.
