Abadal Arboset 2021 has been selected by Tim Atkin MW for his Spanish Wines of the Year 2025, a report that highlights Spain’s most outstanding wines of the year. Atkin and his team tasted 6,367 wines from across the country, and the annual list features just 2% of them.
In his assessment, the critic emphasizes Abadal Arboset’s distinctive character, shaped both by its field blend—ten varieties planted together—and by fermentation in a dry-stone vat. He says it is “like drinking the essence of a mountain forest”, with notes of wild berries and wildflowers, hints of orange peel, and a pronounced wet-stone character. He also praises its aromatic expression, calling it “a stunning bottle of wine”.
