For 23 years the region of Bages has celebrated its annual harvest by organising a festival called the “Festa de Verema del Bages”. This year, Abadal hosted the inauguration of the festival. The winery also presented its rosé wine -Abadal Rosat – to guests at an event called “Tastos amb Ritme” (Tastings with Rhythm) as well as to visitors who attended the wine fair, which included a selection of wines from local wineries in the DO Pla de Bages and Caves d’Artés.
This festival was held between the 5th and 7th of October in Artés, a town that has become the wine-producing capital of Bages. This annual event invites visitors to celebrate wine and to learn about wine-making by taking part in experiential experiences, through theatre and by sampling gourmet food at a time of the year when the harvest is coming to an end. This festival pays tribute to wine from the region of Bages. It provides visitors with a unique opportunity to discover the history of the DO Pla de Bages which is expressed through theatre and on tours of the area, while inviting visitors to taste wine and cava that have been made in this wine region.
