Abadal hosts top students from Catalonia’s Catering Schools for an educational day on harvesting

On 7 October, top students from Catalonia’s Catering Schools enjoyed a hands-on learning experience during the harvest season at the Abadal Winery.

This learning experience during the harvest season at Abadal was led by the winery’s oenologist Miquel Palau. Students stomped and tasted grapes, they learnt about the process used to analyse wines, they tasted new unfiltered wines and visited the room where barrels are stored.  It is a highly enriching experience, one which Abadal has hosted for the second year running and one whose aim is to bring students and future professionals from the sector closer to the reality of a winery at such an important moment in wine-making, namely the harvest season.
