Abadal participated in the 38th edition of this popular tasting fair that took place once again to celebrate a festival in Barcelona called the Fiestas de la Mercè (September 21 to 24). This year it was held in a new location down by the sea, at the Moll de la Marina.
Catalan wine and cava from 55 wineries throughout the 12 denominations of origin in Catalonia were showcased. Abadal provided a range of white and rosé wines to be tasted; Abadal Blanc, Abadal Rosat, Picapoll, as well as reds which included Abadal Criança and the Estate Wine, Abadal 3.9. This last wine, Abadal 3.9 also featured in a select exhibition at the fair, in which participating wineries presented their most iconic products. The fair created this select exhibition which is specially designed to allow participants to experience, taste and enjoy these unique wines first-hand.
