As a keen promoter of culture and literature, Abadal supported Kosmopolis 2019 at the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona) by serving Abadal Blanc and Abadal Franc throughout the festival. Kosmopolis is a biennial literary event that is held at the CCCB centre and at this event, literature plays the starring role. The motto for Kosmopolis 2019 was «Stories that move the world» and it presented a five-day programme that brought consecrated authors and new voices together to address some of the main challenges of culture and literature within a wide context. The festival revolved around stories from the 21st century which try to make sense of the world.
Furthermore, Abadal wines – Abadal Blanc and Abadal Crianza – were served at the inaugural event of an exhibition given by of the photographer Gabriel Cualladó in La Pedrera (from 03/08/19 to 06/30/19).
Gabriel Cualladó (Massanassa, Valencia, 1925 – Madrid, 2003) is one of the irrefutable names in the revival of Spanish photography in the second half of the twentieth century. His work reveals the photographer’s true personality. His work stands out among his fellow generations as it humanises the sad reality of the post-war period and it creates a universe flooded with lyricism.
