An unhurried harvest in terms of weather conditions. We can say that it has been a long one as part of the early varieties, especially Chardonnay, ripened early due to the heat of August. Once the night-time temperatures started to drop in the last few days of August, harvest slowed down considerably resulting in a 10-day stop between collecting the Syrah and the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This has enabled us to seek
optimum phenolic ripeness.
The first wines just off fermentation have great fruit expression and agreeability in mouth. Great expression in Picapoll with a good presence of floral and citric notes, and an excellent year for Mandó (we will see how it evolves).
Short year in terms of yield, especially for early varieties such as Chardonnay, Tempranillo and Merlot.
