After his visit to Bages to taste the wines of the Pla de Bages appellation of origin, the critic Miquel Hudin awarded 95 points to Abadal Nuat 2021, 94+ points to Abadal Arboset 2021, 94 points to Abadal Picapoll 2024, and 93 and 92 points to Abadal Mandó 2022 and Abadal Cinc 2021, respectively.
Joaquín Hidalgo, taster for the American magazine Vinous, following a tasting of Catalan wines and a visit to the winery, also rated Abadal Arboset 2021 with 95 points, Abadal Nuat 2021 with 94 points, Abadal Mandó 2021 and Abadal 3.9 2021 with 93 points, Abadal Picapoll 2024 with 92 points, and Abadal Nurva 2024 with 91 points. His tasting also includes the rancio wine Abadal Sagristia C-1, which he places at 92 points.
Two of these wines —Abadal Nurva and Abadal Sagristia C-1— were likewise recognised in the 2026 edition of the Guía de Vinos ABC. Abadal Sagristia C-1, with 96 points, is described as “complex and balanced, the pure essence of rancio wine.”
These accolades are complemented by the scores from the new edition of the Proensa Guide, which awarded 93 points to Abadal Nuat 2022, 94 points to Abadal Cinc 2021, and 91 points to Abadal Nurva and Abadal Picapoll 2024.
Finally, on 1 and 2 December the Salón de los Mejores Vinos de España was held in Madrid, where the top wines of the Guía Peñín 2026 are presented. Abadal was present with several outstanding wines: Abadal Arboset, Abadal Mandó, Abadal Sagristia C-1 and Dolç de Foc Flama, among others.
