The Abadal Winery has obtained the Safe Travels stamp, which is a seal endorsed by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) to help people travelling in any country around the world to identify companies, entities and destinations that have adapted protocols for safety measures and prevention of COVID-19. In the province of Barcelona, the Barcelona Tourism group is responsible for awarding the Safe Travels stamp to companies within the tourism sector that meet the established core requirements.
This stamp is a new addition at the winery and will complement an internationally-recognised certificate which Abadal has been in possession of for 3 years, namely the Biosphere-Barcelona Standard for Commitment to Sustainable Tourism.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Abadal Winery has adapted its wine tourism activity to meet and exceed best practices with regard to hygiene and safety protocols laid out in the regulations in order to ensure the safety of its staff and visitors. Abadal provides a new wine tourism experience which focuses more than ever on enjoying the vineyards, the surrounding land and local environment. We have dedicated our time and resources to activities in open spaces outdoors. It is essential that visitors reserve activities in advance, and we recommend bookings for small and closed groups to make the most of the activities and to enjoy the outdoor Wine Bar and other events safely.
