It was 15 years ago when Abadal decided to retrieve the Mandó variety through old vines located in the towns of Navàs, Cardona and Rocafort. Abadal Mandó was born from a desire to pay tribute to the region of Bages and to the winery’s innovative spirit. This creation is a pure expression of the forest landscapes in the region.
This new wine is the fruit of ongoing research led by the Abadal winery into the retrieval of native varieties from Bages. This research started out with the re-emergence of the local Picapoll grape.
