The Estate Wine -Abadal 3.9 Vi de Finca – was chosen to represent the D.O. Pla de Bages in a wine tasting event in London which was organised to showcase wines from Catalonia. A total of twelve wines, one from each of Catalonia’s Dos, and one cava were previously selected by Anna Vicens, sommelier and President of the Catalan Association of Sommeliers, to take part in a guided tasting session led by Anna Vicens herself.
The Catalan Tourism Agency organised this event which took place at the Caesar Hotel in order to promote Catalonia as a wine tourism destination and a land with a rich history. It was attended by wine specialists, and for the most part UK wine clubs, who were invited to a presentation which highlighted the uniqueness and richness of each of Catalonia’s wine regions. At the end of the evening, guests enjoyed a cocktail dinner.
