During the tasting, directed by Miquel Palau, oenologist of Abadal, the assistants were able to taste up to 6 vintages of this wine manufactured 100% with the recovered grape variety mandó.
A journey through the different vintages of this wine tasted (from the 2014 vintage, when it was still an experimental wine, to the 2016, 2017, 2019, the 2020 vintage currently on the market, and the 2022, which is still resting in clay) where the evolution in style could be observed: from a more rustic wine to a wine with a greater presence of fruit, although always maintaining its fresh personality and the significant presence of the country estate’s undergrowth bouquet, traits that make it a very gastronomic wine.
Aimed at a professional public, the tasting was attended by sommeliers, restaurateurs participating in the Abadal Wine & Gastro Experience, and wine prescribers.
After the vertical tasting, the attendees were able to enjoy all the wines from the cellar served with a small gastronomic accompaniment.
