Abadal winery has once again been recognized in The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands 2026, a ranking compiled by the international magazine Drinks International, reaffirming its standing and prestige within the global wine scene.

This ranking, considered one of the most influential in the sector, is based on votes from international wine professionals —including sommeliers, buyers, Masters of Wine and specialized journalists— who assess aspects such as quality, consistency, brand strength, and commitment to origin and sustainability.

In this edition, Abadal ranks 40th, standing out as one of the most relevant Spanish wine brands and consolidating its role as a benchmark for the Pla de Bages region. The publication highlights the winery’s work in recovering and promoting a historic Catalan wine region, as well as its commitment to native grape varieties and the expression of terroir. It also recognizes its dedication to sustainability, meticulous vineyard work, and its ability to produce wines with a strong identity that help broaden the narrative of Spanish wine beyond the most well-known appellations.

In this context, the ranking positions Abadal as an ambassador of Pla de Bages on the international stage, with wines that convey authenticity, origin, and singularity, reinforcing a trajectory deeply rooted in the landscape and winemaking heritage of the region.

This year’s ranking also includes Spanish wineries such as Familia Torres, Vega Sicilia, Cvne, La Rioja Alta, Marqués de Riscal, Marqués de Cáceres, Ramón Bilbao, Faustino, Juvé & Camps, Perelada, Codorniu and Scala Dei.
